The advent of cone beam CT has revolutionized the dental field by allowing clinicians to observe the patient in 3D. Not only has this technology increased productivity and efficiency but it allows clinicians to see more anatomy and pathology than was previously observed with conventional dental radiographs. This course is designed to help the dental practitioner to better understand cone beam CT technology, have a better understanding of what should be considered when purchasing a CBCT system, the radiation risks as well as the legal responsibilities involved with owning a CBCT unit. In addition, the course will discuss the many applications of cone beam CT in a dental practice.
