Speaker Biography

Dr. Reva Barewal received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992 at the University of Toronto and a GP residency in 1993. In 1999 she received her specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed her Masters of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. In 2002, Dr. Barewal’s research won the John Sharry award presented at the American College of Prosthodontists national meeting. In 2006 she received the first Integrated Tissue Prosthesis award judged by the founders of implant dentistry at the Astra Tech World Congress meeting. She has published several articles in the field of implant dentistry in the field of implant stability and has taught fixed and removable prosthodontics at UBC, USC, UTHSCSA and OHSU. After having her two children she now is in private practice and continues to conduct clinical research.
