Dr. Ernest Cholakis obtained his DMD in 1982 from the University of Manitoba and his MBA in 2002 from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He had attended the very first University based “Esthetic Continuum” at Case Western Reserve University in 1992 and recieved a continuing education certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry from UCLA in 1998. He then attended the Misch Institute program in Implant dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Cholakis received his fellowship in the International College of Oral Implantology in 1996.

Achieving and Sustaining Practice Growth in a High-Inflation Environment

Dentistry is not exempt from the impacts of rising inflation. As the cost of supplies, PPE, wages, and other components of overhead have increased, dental insurance reimbursements have decreased -- placing significant restraints on practice profitability and dentists' income. Dr. Gary Jones hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Summa Cum Laude and was awarded the distinction of "University Scholar." He then completed his doctorate studies at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. His residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery was completed at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Jones then served his country as a staff surgeon at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. There he received The Meritorious Service Medal. Board certified in his specialty, he has been in private practice in North Carolina for the last 20 years with a primary focus on jaw reconstructive surgery and dental implant placement. He also enjoys lecturing about implant dentistry and is the Founder and Director of the Fayetteville Implant Dentistry Study Club and the Central Carolina Dental Continuum. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at VCU School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
