Oraqix Topical Anaesthesia
A needle-free choice for anxiety-free scaling and/or root planing procedures
- Can be reapplied, as needed, with up to five cartridges per appointment
- Onset occurs within 30 seconds and has a duration of approximately 20 minutes
- Applied directly in the sulcus, the unique, patented, thermosetting system changes from liquid to gel and delivers pain relief where it’s needed
ORAQIX MUST NOT BE INJECTED. Oraqix should not be used in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency or congenital or idiopathic methemoglobinemia.

Careful consideration should always be given to your choice of anaesthetic.
Patients with gingivitis and periodontal disease typically have inflamed, irritated tissue. Some manufacturers of competitive topical products limit dose to only 0.4mL of liquid or warn against use on large areas of denuded or inflamed tissue. Check prescribing information prior to purchase.
Oraqix is a non-injectable, pH neutral anaesthetic. Maximum dose is 5 full cartridges (8.5mL), enough to complete a full mouth scaling.
