In this lecture, we will examine the most common surgical and prosthetic complications with implant therapy, the data behind their occurrence’s and prognosis, and examine the various ways to treat these adverse outcomes.

Dental implants are a known and predictable treatment option for missing teeth, where most patients today desire this type of therapy. Although implant survival is extremely high, complications can and do arise in these patients during the placement, healing, prosthetic, or recall phases of treatment.
