James Field Dr

Speaker Biography

James works as a Senior Specialist Clinical Teacher and an Honorary Consultant at Sheffield. He is currently the Programme Lead for the conjoint Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) at The University of Sheffield. He is also an external examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a Professional Standards Advisor for the Higher Education Academy. He provides postgraduate training for Health Education England, Dentsply Sirona and also for the UK Ministry of Defence, and chairs the pan-European group of clinical skills teachers on behalf of ADEE. James is a council member for the British Prosthodontic Society, secretary, and treasurer for the IADR Education Research Group, and is a registered Prosthodontic specialist. In 2018 James was awarded a UK National Teaching Fellowship in recognition of his sustained teaching excellence and impact in Higher Education.
