This webinar will address the necessary precautions dentists must take in treating patients, with the underlying assumption that ANY patient could be “that” patient.
The emergence and rampant spread of COVID-19 worldwide increases the likelihood that patients seeking dental care may either knowingly, or unknowingly have the disease.  This webinar will address the necessary precautions dentists must take in treating patients, with the underlying assumption that ANY patient could be “that” patient.  Additionally, this webinar will address how to manage the most common endodontic emergencies to relieve the patient of their symptoms in the safest environment possible for both patient and dental personnel.

Learning Objectives:

  • Remotely identify patients with suspected or possible COVID-19 infection
  • Identify and triage patients with true dental emergencies
  • Perform a Systematic Diagnostic Protocol and Treatment Plan
  • Identify those patients that can be managed pharmacologically as an alternative to dental care to temporarily delay definitive treatment
  • Learn how to provide emergency endodontic care to those patients in need
  • Learn how to socially distance but not socially disconnect
