Panama as a global model for the enforcement of hygienic standards
In 2016 the Panamanian National Bio-safety Committee in Oral Health set down stricter guidelines for instrument reprocessing in its handbook on hygienic standards in dental practices. To further minimize the risk of cross-contamination, additional requirements for safe instrument hygiene were defined. In order to better support the clinics in meeting these requirements, the Committee looked for particularly efficient technology.
