Course objective
Since its introduction in 2001, the Protaper Endodontic file system has been one of the most widely used throughout the world. With improvements in nickel titanium alloy, there have been different variants introduced including Protaper Next and Protaper Gold. Yet there have been criticisms of this system including its aggressiveness in removing dentine and whether this may make a treated tooth more susceptible to fracture. A new system was introduced last year called TruNatomy with the aim to conserve tooth structure whilst still achieving the biological aims of endodontic treatment. This webinar will compare both file systems and discuss case selection to minimise complications and help to ensure better patient outcomes.</p>
