EC8: Advanced Endodontic Topics Part I: Retreatment Methods & Management of Broken Instruments

Course Description: 

The ability to provide comprehensive endodontic care may require knowledge on more complex, less common clinical situations and the required treatment approaches. Magnification will also be addressed in this course. In this course, the learner will be guided through the proper management of endodontic emergencies, removal of separated instruments, and retreatment of endodontically treated teeth. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

• Identify and address the reasons for instrument separation and the removal of a separated instrument with the aid of magnification. 

• Diagnose and correctly pharmaceutically treat endodontic emergencies. 

• Describe the etiology and diagnosis of post-treatment disease. Identify the approach to perforation repair.
