While every dental office is unique, a wave of activity occurs around each hygiene visit that is consistent for many offices. Hygienists go through a continuous flow of work each day from one appointment to the next. Efficient workflows can create a huge value for the hygiene department. Successful hygiene departments operate off of enhanced workflow management, systems, and coordinated product integration. In order to successfully integrate products into an efficient workflow, it is essential for hygienist to understand the WHY behind product use. This course will provide the learner with strategies for implementing a successful hygiene workflow into their practice and explore the why behind product use for improving efficiency and optimizing patient care.

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

Implement strategies to develop an efficient workflow for their dental practice
Assess dental hygiene workflows to identify breakdowns and opportunities for improvement
Recognize products that promote efficient and effective workflows with the hygienist and dental professional in mind
