In order to provide the best possible care for their patients, dentists need intelligent and intuitive concepts. With DS PrimeTaper, Dentsply Sirona is launching an implant system that represents a modern product line supported by DS Signature Workflows for single and multiple restorations.
These workflows cover the entire implant restoration—starting with the 3D X-ray image with Axeos and a primary impression with Primescan for treatment planning. Now with the addition of DS PrimeTaper, with a new implant driver, this complete system drives digital workflows and delivers simplicity and efficiency.
Characteristics of DS PrimeTaper that make a difference
DS PrimeTaper is a modern tapered implant that has predictable installation in different bone qualities. In addition, there are other key proprietary features in the geometry and surface finish that have already proven their value: The OsseoSpeed surface, for example, ensures more bone more rapidly, and the implant delivers immediate function enabling immediate restorations. The MicroThread design provides long term biomechanical bone stimulation, improved esthetics and lasting satisfaction for both patient and clinician. Finally, the unique one-position-only abutment- implant interface allows for simple and predictable connection of the final Atlantis patient specific abutment and impression products.
The characteristic that sets DS PrimeTaper apart is its significantly simplified workflow: The double thread allows the implant to be inserted quickly and safely. A simple drilling protocol, with only a few different drills, supports the workflow. The EV connection of DS PrimeTaper to the abutment is the first of its kind developed for digital workflows and requires only one position. Thanks to the simplified treatment protocol, the minimal number of components needed, and with the support of digital technology in impression taking and prosthetic fabrication, practitioners can predictably achieve excellent clinical results with DS PrimeTaper.
