The annual meeting of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE) offers endodontic specialists an excellent opportunity to benefit from intensive educational programs, learn about the latest product innovations and to network. From April 17 to 20, 2024, the AAE Annual Meeting will take place in Los Angeles - a forum for endo specialists who are looking to keep up to date with the cutting-edge developments in their discipline. This is achieved with scientific courses that are free of commercial and promotional interests. In addition, there will be poster presentations with the authors present for discussion and hands-on workshops facilitated by leading experts, giving attendees the opportunity to gain confidence to implement new techniques.

Visitors can also look forward to a top-class educational program on all aspects of endodontics. Dr. Bettina Basrani [1], Associated Professor and Director, MSc Program in Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto (Canada), will focus on current trends in endodontic disinfection in her presentation.  Dr. George Bruder [1], endo specialist from New York, will be talking about Data Commons: Seamless, Encrypted, Sharing & Oral Health Analyses. In his presentation, he will be highlighting the collaboration of dentists that becomes possible within DS Core. Dr. Gary Glassman [1], endodontist at the Endodontic Specialists practice in Toronto, will show in his presentation how to maximize treatment efficiency. Dr. Roberta Pileggi [1], Professor, Chair and Director of Graduate Endodontics, Associate Dean of Advanced & Graduate Education & Director for the School of Advanced Dental Sciences at University of Florida, Gainesville, will share the latest findings in irrigation research. Finally, Dr. George Bruder and Prof. Ove Peters [1], Head of Clinical Dentistry & Professor of Endodontics School of Dentistry, Queensland (Australia), will discuss a complete filing system under the motto "Respect the ‘TRU’ Natural Anatomy".

Foundation for Endodontics and Dentsply Sirona Freedom Scholarship

Dentsply Sirona's commitment to clinical training is also reflected in its support for student training. Dentsply Sirona has pledged to support scholarships for first-year and second-year endodontic residents in a five year partnership with the AAE Foundation for Endodontics to advance education and improve patient care.  Dentsply Sirona will contribute $150,000 annually to the Foundation of Endodontics. Each year, three meritorious endodontic residents will receive a one-time $50,000 scholarship to assist them with the costs of tuition, courses, equipment, books and other training-related expenses. The scholarship recipients will be announced at APICES 2024 in August, the annual event for AAE resident members and new practitioners, curated by their fellow residents and new practitioner colleagues.
