Successful treatment outcomes with clear aligners start with case selection. In this session we will share necessary criteria to assess your patient’s clinical condition while affording you the opportunity to determine if this is a case type you are comfortable treating based on your skill level. Reviewing these guidelines will provide increased confidence in a systematic approach to determine which types of cases are within your comfort zone. We will walk through case submission for each difficulty level and work through the digital setup for each case. Various tricks, tips, and biomechanical concepts will be explained to help increase predictability for success with SureSmile aligner treatment.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:
- Learn to use specific criteria to identify whether a case will be easier, more difficult, or most difficult to treat with aligner therapy.
- Learn tips and language to use during the prescription and case submission process.
- Learn tips and language to use when evaluating the digital setup and aligner staging.
This course is intended for dental professionals or students with a basic understanding of dental terminology, practice, and proficiency.
