Utilising procedure-based education1, this level will empower clinicians with the full scope of implant possibilities by focusing on the nuances and details necessary to successfully plan and treat full-arch fixed (all-on-x) cases.
Throughout this level, the courses cover topics including: Space-related constraints and considerations for different types of full-arch prostheses, Principles of density, dimension, distribution, and display to organise implant placement, number, and location, The “Rules of 10” for a successful implant-supported or implant-retained mandibular prosthesis, Loading protocols for the full-arch based on initial primary stability, Immediate placement and provisionalization of a full-arch maxilla from a digital and analogue perspective.
At the completion of this level, participants will have a better understanding of treating an edentulous arch with a full-arch fixed implant restoration. Participants are encouraged to continue their education in Level 7, which focuses on regeneration, including advanced grafting principles and techniques.
1.The implant curriculum is an interactive, procedure-based series of courses that use individual cases to teach current implant treatment. This approach is in contrast to conventional dental education that focuses more on didactic topics and theory. The purpose of using this educational approach is to highlight the patients and procedures found in everyday clinical practice, where the most important concepts are observed and discussed in multiple clinical scenarios.
