Sustainability is one of humanity’s biggest challenges, globally and locally, for society and in every industry – including dentistry. Last year, Dentsply Sirona conducted a global study with over 1,300 dentists from the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America, revealing that three quarters of the participants believe there is a knowledge gap regarding sustainability in dentistry. To answer your need and support you on your journey to become more sustainable in your practice or lab, we have put together this Sustainability Resource Kit - available free of charge on this page. Click on the links below & take action. United, let’s take action for a brighter world and more sustainable dentistry!
To be able to act more sustainably, it is first necessary to understand what sustainability actually means. Acting more ecologically and socially responsible in everyday life does not seem so difficult, but where does one start in the dental industry? In an effort to clarify this question, Dentsply Sirona has developed a Sustainability Educational Curriculum, as part of our Clinical Educational programme, called DS Academy. CE credits* are awarded for completing the course. In addition, Dentsply Sirona has supported the FDI World Dental Federation to develop a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Sustainability in Dentistry to help oral health professionals understand the importance of sustainable practice and their own role in tackling sustainability issues.
*Clinical Education (CE) credits valid for US and Canada for now.
