Digital Impressions with Connect Software

Connect Software streamlines the digital impression collection process from the initial scan to lab commissioning – efficiently connecting all the steps in between. The integrated system provides a direct, secure portal for collaboration between a dental practice and laboratory.

Benefits for the Practice

With just a few scans, you can capture your preparation, neighboring teeth, and antagonists. A half-jaw can be recorded in less than a minute. You can maintain a convenient treatment position the entire time, and the process can be interrupted and resumed at any time.

The scanner head is moved smoothly and closely over the teeth and the 3D model is successively depicted on the screen. Different surfaces are shown in their natural color for improved orientation in the oral cavity and clear distinction between the preparation margin and gingiva. The practitioner can define the preparation line himself or delegate this task to the dental laboratory.

Transmit model data to your lab within minutes through the Connect Case Center, allowing your dental technician to look at the case almost simultaneously with the practice. The 3D preview of the individual recordings also supports patient consultations, improving discussion of treatment options, and patient education.

The open SureSmile software accepts 2D X-rays (cephalometric and panoramic images) from any digital imaging device and CBCT data from certified 3D imaging devices, including Axeos, Orthophos SL and Orthophos S.* The SureSmile Digital Lab uses the x-ray data to consider condition, position, and shape of the roots for the treatment plan, providing an interactive 3D view for optimal evaluation of the case.

Digital Denture Design Software – inLab SW 20.0

The inLab SW 20.0 provides the dental laboratory with optimum digital support and a time-saving workflow to ensure the economical manufacture of high-quality full dentures.The intuitive CAD Software has stand-alone CAD components for independent use from scanners and production units. Enjoy user-friendly guidance through the whole workflow from scan, to design, and production. The four modules include Basic, Implantology, Removable, and Interface.

Design Workflow

The workflow begins the inEos X5, offering a clear user interface and step menu with interactive help. The Model phase then creates an automatic initial proposal for the denture baseline and performs the model analysis according to proven set-up concepts. The inLab SW 20.0 then offers two design options, the individual tooth set-up based on the biogeneric setting or selection from a dental database.

For the final processing of the denture base and tooth positioning, the inLab system continues to apply the principle of seamless, validated, and open integration with suitable production methods like 3D printing or milling. The inLab software gives the dental laboratory freedom and flexibility in manufacturing digital dentures.

Restoration Parameters

The digital process offers numerous advantages including the definition of various parameter settings for constant safeguarding, such as minimum wall thicknesses, pocket size,s and insertion depth.

  • Positioning of teeth: The position of teeth can be changed individually, in groups, or as a whole tooth arch. A linear mode and a dynamic mode are available for this.
  • Biogeneric variation: For individual tooth set-up, the biogeneric tool of the inLab software is used for the initial proposal. By doing so, the biogeneric variation is set and/or an anterior tooth shape is selected. In addition, the individual tooth shapes can be changed.
  • Editing teeth individually: The individual teeth can be edited with complete flexibility using the familiar tools Form, Move, Shape, Adjust Contacts, and Incisal Variation.
  • Editing the denture base: Irrespective of the selected tooth set-up, the denture base is then calculated according to the tooth set-up and the jaw line. The gingiva can be edited individually using the software tools.
