- Worldwide contest for dental students
- NEW: Contest in direct and indirect restorations
- International case presentation
- Publication of Global winner cases
With the 2024-2025 edition we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary with you. Since its inception in 2004, more than 6,500 dental students have participated, with the 2023-2024 competition drawing close to 415 cases and 130 dental schools. Patient cases are photo-documented, accompanied by English descriptions, and submitted in a standardized format. Participants must be dental students enrolled in a college or university at the time of entering the contest (repeated participation excluded).
Competition in two categories is now possible: direct and indirect restorations. The participant chooses a category, either direct or indirect. For a national or regional final per category to be held, at least 3 clinical cases per category must be submitted.
A university should designate a tutor for its participants. A tutor can range from a dental faculty member to a post-graduate student. Their purpose will be to oversee the student’s clinical case.
