Dentsply Sirona Appoints Daisy Zhang as General Manager in China

Dentsply Sirona announced today that Daisy Zhang has been appointed to General Manager in China The appointment underlines the company’s commitment to a diverse leadership team, as Daisy is the first female Chinese-born leader to be in this role.

Dentsply Sirona, the world’s leading manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, announced today that Daisy Zhang has been appointed as General Manager in China to complement the company’s APAC leadership team. The appointment underlines the company’s commitment to a diverse leadership team, as Daisy is the first female Chinese-born leader to be in this role in the history of the organization.

“With more than 10 years of experience in the dental market, a track record in leading diverse teams and managing businesses spanning from Business Operations to HR and Commercial, Daisy is in an excellent position to take on the role of General Manager in one of the biggest markets in the APAC region,” says Bruce Peatey, Group Vice President, APAC. “Daisy is the first female leader in this market and paves the way for our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Her exemplary professionalism and leadership fully empower the team to operate with high performance and will further drive the growth of the company in this important market.”

Daisy has been with Dentsply Sirona since 2009. Most recently, she served as General Manager for the Taiwan market, following her time as HR Director for APAC in Hong Kong. She successfully led the integration of teams spanning 10 countries while building a dedicated APAC leadership team during the Dentsply and Sirona organizational merger. Prior to her role as APAC HR Director, Daisy led the Asia Business Operations out of Singapore. Currently, Daisy is based out of Shanghai, China.

Her experiences are wide-ranging across the business spectrum, including leadership roles in Business Development, Operations and Human Resources. Her talent and hard work have been instrumental to the success of business growth and talent development in the Asia Pacific region, one of the company’s largest.

Dentsply Sirona has invested significantly in China over the last years. In 2022, strategic partnerships with Alibaba Cloud, LinkCare and GaoFeng, China’s leading technology companies and manufacturers were announced to introduce DS Core, Primescan and Personalized Implantology & Resto Solutions to the market. A research and development center was set up in Suzhou to foster the digital transformation of the dental industry in China with dedicated talent and resources. Recently, Dentsply Sirona has also participated in the Volume-based Procurement (VBP) initiative and introduced the entire T4 and T5 Implantology offering to the program.
