Cementation and Bonding of Ceramic Crowns

This course will discuss the different types of cements available for bonding and cementing ceramic restorations. The clinical indications for various cements will be discussed. Additionally the methods to prepare lithium disilicate and zirconia for bonding will be discussed. The presentation is based on current literature and research performed at the UAB School of Dentistry.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

• Learn the types of cements.
• Learn the indications for use of different types of cement.
• Learn the steps for preparing ceramic for bonding.
