Each step of endodontically treating and restoring a tooth is connected. This course walks through each step of root canal therapy – with each building on the success of the previous phase. From diagnostic protocol through coronal restoration, learn techniques for clinical success at every step needed to take the patient out of pain, restore function to the tooth while maintaining the proper aesthetic, and enhance long term success.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, each participant will be competent in:

Diagnosis and Treatment Planning — A complete understanding of the factors of each case

Endodontic Access — Creating a proper access cavity is critical

Shaping Utilizing the Most Advanced File Technology — Choices for imparting an appropriate shape to the canal

Irrigation — Importance of removal of infection-causing bacteria

Antibacterial Dressings — Inter-appointment medicaments and temporizing teeth

Obturation — Pros and cons of sealers and obturation techniques

Coronal Restoration of the Endodontically Treated Tooth — Choosing between direct vs. indirect restoration

This course is intended for dental professionals or students with a basic understanding of dental terminology, practice, and proficiency.

Cancellation by the participant within 7 days of the program will result in a fee of 50% of the tuition cost. No shows will be charged the entire regular tuition price. If Dentsply Sirona cancels the program, the participant will be reimbursed the full tuition amount.

Dentsply Sirona is designated as a Nationally Approved AGD PACE provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing dental education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or any other applicable regulatory authority, or AGD endorsement.
