Generally, doctors use aligners to treat a broad range of case types. More difficult cases, such as correcting Class II and Class III malocclusions, however, may require prior treatment experience and a deeper understanding of orthodontic diagnosis to address these kinds of conditions with other types of appliances.

In this course, clinicians will be guided by an industry expert through a series of complex case types to learn best practices in treatment planning these types of cases. Doctors will learn how to combine aligners with the appropriate auxiliaries as an efficacious means of addressing complex orthodontic issues.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify several types of auxiliaries and adjuncts doctors often use in combination with aligners to facilitate efficiencies in tooth movement
  • Evaluate the types of movement needed to address anterior-posterior (AP) changes for Class II and Class III cases
  • Determine the appropriate time to place elastics and buttons during aligner treatment
