"Just in sequence" – efficient production chain

The order has been placed and production gets started. The instruments from Dentsply Sirona are packaged and ready for shipping to the dentist within three days. This is thanks to an outstanding performance in terms of planning and diligence ‒ every single step of the way. From initial through to final assembly and on to the final testing of every finished instrument: Efficient use is made of every minute.

As soon as an order is received, it is forwarded almost immediately to Production. Minute components are screwed, adhered, adjusted and processed in assemblies and, in part, under microscopes. Here maximum precision and cleanliness are required which we ensure, amongst other things, with innovative technologies. This includes laser welding and the high-precision balancing of rotating components. 

Once all components are finished, they are forwarded to final assembly. The difference: The assemblies are not stored unsorted in enormous halls. Rather, they are already available in the required quantity and in the right location for further processing. 

The result of this just-in-sequence methodology: A coherent and efficient production chain with quick reaction times straight from the order. Exact planning of all working steps is required for this type of production. Some 80 members of staff work in teams simultaneously on the products to achieve further optimization.
